Pounce!

This week, the crew of  ACJ is featuring shops new to Etsy.  Shops awaiting their first sales.  Do you  remember your first sale and how exciting it was?

Last week, I made this  Pounce treasury of undiscovered shops (click on the word Pounce directly above  the treasury and you can see the treasury on Etsy OR click on each photo to be  taken to each shop):

Today, I'd like to draw attention to  the first two shops in the treasury!  Why?  Because the first one, Pretty Duzz,

broke the ice and purchased a card from the second one, Melley  Nelson Design giving them their first sale!  How cool is that? Thank you Brenda!  And I see Brenda is having a Fourth of July sale in her shop, be sure to check it out.

And here is the second shop, Melley Nelson Design:
Please be sure to check  out the rest of the shops in the treasury, each one is new to Etsy.

THIS just in!  Leslie from Julesandlouie is offering FREE shipping on anything in her shop through the Fourth of July!!  Use coupon code "Happy4" at time of checkout to qualify for free shipping!
Someone better snap up  this purse from Julesandlouie, because I'm loving it!:

Why not make someone's  day and be the first person to purchase from a new shop?!?!

(You can click on each banner to be taken directly to the shops or an item to be taken to that item)

Have a great and safe  holiday weekend!

undecided...

I was only going to pick one new shop for today, but then I couldn’t resist showing both of these shops. I also had every intention on finding and showcasing a new shop that focused on altered art (or collage) but this fun shop caught my eye first.

aspectdesign

I love how the design flows from one shoe to the other. I also like the simple color palette and the lines.

Check out and see their other fun designs in their shop.

I think these are beautiful and I love that they are done with watercolors.

These two shops are creative and have their very own individuality. Both are not afraid to use color in varying degrees.

I hope you will take a few minutes and check out these two new shops.

Six more shopping months until Christmas!
Bakelite Heart Pendant - Perfume Holder - Vintage
From around the 50's, this heart shaped perfume pendant is butterscotch colored with swirls and a brown Lucite dot center. The top screws out and has a dabbing stick. There's a small chain for you to attach to a chain or key ring or whatever use you can think of doing with it!
It measures 3/4" wide and just slightly under 1" high, without the chain. Photo is enlarged to show details. This would make an awesome addition to your Bakelite collection!

Today I want to share one of my favorite words, spelled out with antique letters that were originally used on store and theater marquees....in the early 1900's that is!

These measures from  61/4 or 61/2" (the R,S T) to 81/2" (T and U), measuring up to the flange.
They have a flange on the top which is 1/4" to 1/2" depending on the size of the letter, and is bent back for hanging.  We use old wood molding tacked on the wall to hang them from.  These are concave which gives them a 3 dimensional appearance

Signs of Summer

Happy Official Summertime!!!!!!!

That’s right, it is “officially” summer and that means warmer weather, picnics, swimming, gardening and a whole lot more.  Well, warmer weather in some places.  (I heard some of my buddies are still suffering with some rainy ugly days)

So what better way to inspire and motivate and welcome the season than with some fun reminders of summer.  Hope you enjoy!

Primitives!

I love primitives!  I would love to have a big, old farmhouse to fill with primitives. I could sit around all day long and do primitive stitching, which is my favorite stitching to do!

Take a look at some of the many primitive sites you can find online!

Here are some of the links for the shops included  in the show:

Have a great day!
