If you think of wire wrapped jewelry, you are not alone. That's what most people are familiar with. However, wire art is an old artform and one that I find most interesting. Several years ago I became interested in this medium. I bought all the books and instruction manuals so I could create these wonderful works of art. Oh yes, I had such magnificent pictures dancing in my head....and as it turned out, they only existed in my head, and are still dancing around in there.
This is an artform and medium that takes hours and hours of practice and the patience of a saint, not to mention the finger dexterity of a magician. At least, that's my opinion after failing miserably in my efforts. Needless to say I have a true appreciation of the artists who have all these talents and have mastered this artform and medium.
Here are a few examples that you can purchase on Etsy, Artfire, and Zibbet. I personally think they are all underpriced. LOL
Thank you for looking at my collection.
Have a wonderful day.

Thank you for featuring all these wonderful wire artists!! It is very true about all the hard work that goes into it!! I gave myself tendinitis working the wire. However it is a huge labor of love that I hope never have to give it up!!! Thank you so much for featuring my rooster and giraffe.
