Dandelion

It is that time of year when people start to fight the dandelions.

Ever since my kids were little I liked to let the dandelions grow so they could have the fun of making wishes and blowing the little seeds off in every direction.

Or they would play a game and see how far they could pop the heads off.
If you ever looked closely at the dandelion there is something very cheerful about it….it could be as simple as the color, or maybe that there are so many tiny little petals that it looks fuzzy.

Whatever it is, I kind of like this little annoyance and they add a nice bright spot in an otherwise boring green expanse of grass.

Okay, maybe you would rather enjoy the view of dandelions in someone else’s yard, but you have to admit they are fun…and can any of you say you never blew the dandelion fluff away? (never ever????)

This page gives all kinds of information on these so called weeds, from a very thorough description to medicinal uses.

Have a dandy day

I personally don't mind dandelions. My neighbors do though. :)
Thanks for the fond reminders of a child!

Yep! I remember blowing the top off of the dandelions...but now that we have a yard to care for I understand why my Dad was not thrilled when he saw us doing it!
Great items featured here :)

I remember blowing the tops off the dandelions too, but I have to admit I've never looked at them as fondly as you do jj. LOL
