Bracelets! So easy and fun to make.
Here is how you do it:
- Remove all the bristles from the toothbrush with tweezers or pliers.
- Boil water.
- Keep water boiling, put toothbrush in water for five minutes.
- Remove toothbrush with tongs, bend to desired shape.
- If toothbrush doesn't bend enough, submerge again in water.
- Remove toothbrush and bend as much as possible.
Make sure you use potholders or oven mitts to bend the plastic! Let cool. If bracelet is too small, it will break, so make sure it's not to hard to put on wrist. Not all toothbrushes will work, so you might have to try a few. I found the cheap ones at the dollar stores do NOT work! The ones used here are Reach and Gum toothbrushes.
Have fun!

That is amazing! How clever, the ultimate in recycling.
Okay RWS, this is a new one for me. ROFL
I have lots of old toothbrushes because I use them for artwork. This is going to be fun!
Thanks for a new idea! Love it.
If I send you my toothbrushes will you pull all the bristles then send the rest back to me?
I did send a link to my Grandkids!
Sure VE, send them along! I use a pliers and rip them out!
I'm gonna find something really off the wall and send it to RWS to see what she can do. I have a feeling she can do just about anything with "stuff".
Who would have thought "Toothbrush Bracelets" Maybe a whole new market niche!
okay...I am, well...I am not sure what to say....how on earth did you think of doing this?
It is cool alright, but still, it never ever would have occurred to me...
(ha! don't be surprised if all of a sudden you get a bunch of used toothbrushes in the mail....snicker)
Kids would love to do this! However, the boiling water is dangerous! It would just be better if the parents would help them do it. They look colorful! Some people would have never thought that toothbrushes could be great accessories, though.
