Paper mache

MixUpGallery
I remember in grade school we got to use papermache, those long guey strips of newspaper with the gobs of paste dripping off.
Our Art teacher had us wrap papermache over a balloon, let it dry and then cut it open. Then we got to paint the outside in whatever colors we wanted. Once that dried we glued a little Easter scene inside. Of course our parents were the delighted recipients of our handmade treasures.

In the years since grade school...(trust me it has been many) I have played with paper mache here and there. After finding these cool items, I am thinking it is time to start to play with it again.

I love the old Jack-o-laterns and here is one made similar to those older versions.

Here are some other Halloween decorations made with papermache.

This is another item by  fishstikks. I had to include this one too, as it just cracks me up.

I love all these creative items that these artists have used the papermache for. It really does make me want to tear up some strips of newspaper and mix up that gloppy glue and have a blast. (the mess I will worry about tomorrow...)

Thank you for including my lady Moth! Paper mache is my favorite medium, fun, cheap and pretty easy...get going on yours! Do you know about Dan the Monster Man? if you don't, search for him and prepare to be amazed and inspired! He has lots of how-he-did-it video's too...

This post brings back some fond memories jj. It's been quite awhile since I've done any paper mache. I loved using those gooey stips of newspaper. LOL

There are some wonderful paper mache artists here. Thanks jj.

This is wonderful. Thanks for including my palomino.

You no longer have to use torn paper and glue, they have this fabulous powered paper and glue that you can make only what you need. It dries hard and is easly sanded. Let me know if you want a source

I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article
like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me.
In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content
as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
