SET IN STONE

SET IN STONE OR CARVED IN STONE....
                                             No Longer Changeable

                                               BATTLE HORSE

Artists who work in stone have always amazed me....The ability to look at a slab of rock, whether large or small, and see the image inside is an astonishing gift.. A gift I do not possess but one I truly admire.

I understand the fascination photographers have with carved stone...

                                         Quiet Contemplation

The emotion captured forever in an image set in stone....

                                                 Faith

The strength and wisdom in a pair of eyes....
                                               Eyes

Or maybe you will be fortunate enough to see and touch beautiful examples like this....
A true Delight to the eye....just looking brings a smile to the face :)
                                             Delight

Or maybe you will find a vintage treasure....

                                     Carved Elephant

However you view these Set in Stone images, whether through the eyes of a photographer or with your own eyes...I hope you will see what the artist saw and brought forth from the stone....

Beautiful examples VE. I too admire the artist who can carve in stone and wood; and I'm always amazed at what they are able to envision and create.

stone work is amazing. I have done a little woodcarving but can not imagine doing any kind of stone carving. The details and aging can be so beautiful. Faith has caught my eye, they are all beautiful though
