Upside down

I messed up today…..I remembered that I didn’t do my post at about 4 a.m. this morning as I was getting ready for work. (yes, I go to work by 5 a.m.)

CyberMoon

So I decided that an upside down day was appropriate, and here are a few items I found that were, well….upside down.

Who would have thunk (just wanted to use that word)  that there were so many upside down things….
and what fun it was to see them. These are only a few.

I hope you enjoy and I promise to be back right side up next week.

undecided...

I was only going to pick one new shop for today, but then I couldn’t resist showing both of these shops. I also had every intention on finding and showcasing a new shop that focused on altered art (or collage) but this fun shop caught my eye first.

aspectdesign

I love how the design flows from one shoe to the other. I also like the simple color palette and the lines.

Check out and see their other fun designs in their shop.

I think these are beautiful and I love that they are done with watercolors.

These two shops are creative and have their very own individuality. Both are not afraid to use color in varying degrees.

I hope you will take a few minutes and check out these two new shops.

WIRE ARTWORK

What do you think of when you hear "wire artwork"?

If you think of wire wrapped jewelry, you are not alone. That's what most people are familiar with. However, wire art is an old artform and one that I find most interesting. Several years ago I became interested in this medium.  I bought all the books and instruction manuals so I could create these wonderful works of art. Oh yes, I had such magnificent pictures dancing in my head....and as it turned out, they only existed in my head, and are still dancing around in there.

This is an artform and medium that takes hours and hours of practice and the patience of a saint, not to mention the finger dexterity of a magician. At least, that's my opinion after failing miserably in my efforts. Needless to say I have a true appreciation of the artists who have all these talents and have mastered this artform and medium.

Here are a few examples that you can purchase on Etsy, Artfire, and Zibbet. I personally think they are all underpriced. LOL
