Want to Make Paper Beads?

I love Pinterest and the blogs!  I've been cruising around and came across this DIY blog post from

These beads are so beautiful and she even has a necklace that includes both the paper and felt beads.  The beads take several steps, but you will have a truly one-of-a-kind necklace or bracelet that is just stunning.
I'm hoping I can find time to make one for myself, but if not, I have a special friend who makes paper beads and maybe she'll make one for my birthday. :0)

I hope some of you will try these and show us what you've created.

Vintage Books

I like vintage books but I don't read them, I rip them apart to make things!  I do like how the yellow pages look and even the smell of old books.

I made this flower orb from pages of an old dictionary:

And my favorite thing to make from old books are paper beads.  These are from an old catalog:

Here are a few of the books I like to collect:

And here is a book I'd like to add to my collection!

Please read entire description for details!
Needed when bracelet is ordered:
► Bracelet size in inches
► Color preference: antique copper, gold or silver
► At least 6 U.S. towns/cities. More would be great in case I need to substitute.
You can choose from gold, silver or antiqued copper for the accent beads. Let me know you want a customized bracelet, give me at least 6 citites or towns from the state or states of your choice, what color you'd like for accent beads and clasp, then I'll work up the bracelet and set you up a custom listing.

I think today I will promote my Zibbet shop, and since it seems to be a sort of  "promote paper" day I will show you my books!  I love books, new or old so here is a group of 3 (remember 3 makes a collection) that I have for sale.

My Wallpaper Obsession!

I love wallpaper!  I have a stash of it, but never have enough!   I like to use it to make tags, paper beads and handmade envelopes.  It's just wonderful for making paper beads, my favorite, in fact.

These are paper beads made from wallpaper, you can see the actual wallpaper used behind them.
These are some handmade envelopes made from wallpaper.

I especially like books!  With wallpaper books, I get coordinated papers all in one!

But I never pass on rolls or sheets.

With all that said, take a look at this online shop I found!  It's located in NY and someday I'd like to visit this store and touch each and every piece of wallpaper!
Click on photo above and prepared to be wowed!  It's a shop called SecondHandRose!  What an assortment of wallpaper!

While there, stop by and check out the Linoleum section!   It's to die for!
This one below has got to be one of my favorites!

Let's visit one more online shop!
Bradbury & Bradbury (click on image above)

Just looking at this shop and the retro wallpapers, makes me wanna.

Hope you enjoy our visit to wallpaper lane!
